Bookings Terms and Conditions

Payment for all services are made at the time of booking.

Payments made remotely must be via Bacs payment prior the class.

Payments made in person, can be paid by cash at the time of the class class.

Once payment has been received, you will receive confirmation by text or email, thus reserving your space.

Once you have received your confirmation text or email your booking is made and is then subject to the Cancellation Policy.

At your first session you will receive a Parq form requesting for a Physical Activity readiness questionnaire to be completed and returned to the instructor. Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete.

Block paid 1:1 sessions Are subject to a start and expiry date which will be issued at time of purchase and the expiry is subject to the frequency of your 1:1, please discuss with your instructor at time of purchase.

Block paid sessions / Class pass: Are for the person named person ONLY.

Taster Sessions – These apply to 1per person at the time of the offer.

 

Cancellation Policy & Refunds

Sessions can not be refunded once a 4 week class pass has been booked.

Holidays can be deducted from a 4 week class pass block but no more than 1 week.

If paying as you go please cancel within 24 hours.

Repeated “No shows” will be charged as above, but could also lead to suspension from the class.

Any classes/1:1’s not taken by the expiry date will be lost. If the organiser cancels a class/1:1 within the start and end date the expiry date will be amended to reflect this. Public holidays will not result in an extension to the expiry date.

 

Liability

You will be requested to complete a Physical Activity Questionnaire. It is your responsibility to inform the instructor in any changes to your physical health before participating.

Pilates is an exercise system.

Pilates instructors are not therapists and do not diagnose conditions.

You are responsible for immediately informing the instructor of any discomfort felt during your session.

Pilates Apparatus can be dangerous if used without the proper care and attention.

When using the apparatus, you must pay attention to the health and safety instructions given and only continue to perform the exercise if you feel safe. Ensure you communicate with your instructor if you do not feel safe.

You take full responsibility for the risks involved and take full responsibility as highlighted in the PAR-Q for any injury, loss or damage to my person or property that may arise directly or indirectly from participation in the exercises.

You will not seek to penalise, prosecute or claim compensation from Emma Sylvester trading as Total Pilates for any injury, loss or damage.

This Privacy Policy applies between you, the User of this Website and Emma Sylvester trading as Total Pilates, the owner and provider of this website. 

This Privacy Policy applies to the use of any and all Data collected by us or provided by you in relation to your use of the Website

  • “Studio Apparatus” means roller, ball, exercise band, Chair and small accessories

References in the Privacy Policy to the singular will include the plural and vice versa and references to the masculine gender will include references to the feminine gender.

What Information is collected?

​Once you have made a booking with Total Pilates you will be asked to provide the following data…

​Information collected through the Total Pilates PAR-Q (Physical Activity readiness questionnaire) (this is only completed once an actual booking has been made at the first session)

  • Emergency contact
  • Health Information

How is this Information used?

​Your contact information is required to process your booking with Total Pilates

​Your phone number may be used to communicate with you regarding your booking.

Communication will be between your phone number and 07704034093.

​Your contact information is used to contact you regarding any matter relating to your booking and the services provided by Total Pilates

 ​You will not be sent any booking or marketing material through the post. 

Your address is used only to improve customer service e.g. if I need to cancel a session due to illness I can give you notice with consideration for how long you have to drive to get to the studio or If I have to cancel sessions due to weather e.g. I can advise you of snow cancellation with consideration to your proximity to the studio.

​Your Health Information are required to manage risk and safety issues inherent in all exercise systems. Permission will be requested to share this information e.g With a cover teacher if Emma Sylvester is ill and you choose to be taught by a cover teacher. 

Is Data Sold or Shared?

Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, your Personal Data will not be disclosed to or shared with third parties without your express permission.
